Flexibility classes with Twisted Nymph/Carolyn

🎪 A little about me and my teaching background.

🎪 I specialise in working with adults who wish to increase their strength and flexibility for pole and aerial arts. With no dance or gymnastic background I started pole dancing in 2008, got hooked on aerial in 2010, then started contortion training in 2015. I have over 10 years teaching and performance experience, performing at cabarets, festivals and club nights.

🎪 I approach my teaching with an understanding of students' varied lifestyles (balancing work with throwing yourselves upside down every chance you get!)

🎪 I completed my practice-based PhD exploring female experience of aerial circus in 2020 and apply this knowledge to my teaching. I taught pole and burlesque before apprenticing with High Top Circus to develop my aerial and flexibility instruction skills. I have attended numerous courses/workshops/conferences on flexibility teaching, anatomy, injury awareness, and healthier bodies in the aerial arts and I'm forever continuing to learn! I've mainly trained contortion under Hannah Finn and Claudia Hughes, and love trying classes with other instructors to learn different techniques.

🎪You can book onto my group classes via The Pole Lab website here. Currently I teach group classes Wednesdays 6.30-8pm (online bi-weekly) and Fridays 8-9am (in studio), but keep an eye on my Instagram for the class focus each week, timings and special workshops! Get in touch to discuss private lessons, face-to-face or online via Zoom.
